Last weekend, Kevin and I headed off to Chicago, me for a medical conference and Kevin to look at the architecture. Calia's Nana and Poppop came up from Pennsylvania to watch her. Here are some pictures...

On Saturday, Kevin did the 12-hour race at Bradbury mountain as part of a 4 man team with his friends, Bill, Aaron, and Chris. Mid morning, Calia and I headed up to watch/support him. We left and went to lunch, then home for naps, then back up for the night cap. Calia loved hanging out, especially wince her friend, Henry (Aaron's son who turned 2 last April) was there. Alison (Henry's mom) is due with their second early Decmeber, so Henry was getting Calia pumped up to be the big sibling. Probably the funniest moment of the day was when we were waiting for Kevin ot finish is last lap. Calia and I were standing by the finish line and other bikers were coming in, to the applausse of the small crowd still gathered at 6:45pm. All of the sudden Calia announces "Hiya's turn" and runs down the finishing stretch with her arms above her head. The crowd clapped and you'd have thought she won the Boston Marathon by how much she was beaming.

Children's Museum

With the long winter looming in the not so distant future, we decided to get a family membership to the Chldren's Museum in portland. Calia has been the numerous times, and loved it everytime. This past Saturday, we headed out to meet the Nelson and Braun families at the Museum. Calia was all over the place.

Yesterday, we took Calia for her 2 year well check (albeit a month late).

Yup, she's a bean pole.

Monday evening, Kevin and Calia headed to Crescent Beach in Cape Elizabeth to meet up withour friends, Aaron, Alison and Henry. I had to work :( Here are some pics... Apparently ice cold ocean water has no effect on Calia
