Camp David

Every June,my aunt Sandy and her girlfriends spend a weekend at Old Orchard Beach, and every year my dad meets the ladies out for drinks. This past year they renamed the weekend 'Camp David" they made shirts and everything. This past weekend at my cousin Ashlee's wedding, all of the Camp David ladies were there. They called my dad out to the dance floor and proceeded to dance around him. Here are some pictures...

Where's the baby??

Cute story. Ever since we got the DVD of the baby last friday, Calia asks to watch the "Nowan movie" (BTW, we are naming the baby Nolan, but since Calia has a hard time with her Ls...you get the picture). She watches it over and over again. So last night, Kevin, Calia and I were reading books and reviewing her letters (she knows 17 out of 26 letters of the alphabet and can name something that starts with each that she knows, BTW), I asked her where's the baby? She replied, "in the TV" Kevin and I started laughing. I said, "or in mommy's belly" to which Calia replied, while lifting her shirt, "or in my belly." Then she got serious and said, "No Mommy, Nowan in the TV, I saw him" Which, in her mind, is correct because that is where she has seen him. Now, I'm just waiting for the day that she wants him out of the TV, or when I go into labor will we have to take our 37" LCD with us? Time will tell.

It's a......BOY

We had our 20 week ultrasound today, and found out that we are going to have a son, to round out our perfect family. He is beautiful and quite flexible. He was not shy about showing off his manhood, leaving no doubt that the babies room will be overrun with blue clothes, trains and trucks. I'll scan the pictures and download them tomorrow, but he is healthy and active.

Calia quickly caught on to Halloween this year. We stopped at her 2 Yiayia's house first, then to her Great, Great Aunt Jo's house where a bunch of her cousins were. We then headed to Casa Logan to trick or treat in their neighborhood (lots of houses that are close together). It took about 2 houses before Calia developed her system. She'd get out of the wagon, ask for her Pumpkin, run after the other kids to the door, push her way up to the front, hold her pumpkin out, say "trick or treat", then "thank you", run back to her wagon, hand me the pumpkin, climb back into the wagon and command Kevin to pull her to the next house. We finished our night at Calia's Yiayia and Papa's house, and did their street with Calia's cousins Andrew and Christopher. What a night. Calia passed out the minute her head hit her pillow, and so did her mommy and daddy!

Ok, so it seems within the past few months everyone is announcing they are pregnant with a new baby. It's getting overwhelming.

And we thought end of summer 2005 was a busy time for babies!!

Yesterday, Kevin signed a new contract at Salmon Falls Architecture making him an associate, en route to becoming a principle/partner. This comes with a pay raise, more vacation, more responsiblity, and a 7-ish year plan before the current 2 partners retire. Yeah Kevin!!! Calia and I couldn't be prouder of you.

On Friday night, Calia and I headed to downtown Westbrook for their "Trick or Treat on Main Street" with Heather and Ethan (her youngest). The city closes down a portion of Main Street and all of the businesses hand out candy to the kids. Calia had a blast in her costume with all of the other kids. After, Kevin met up with us for dinner along with the Logan family, Heather and her boys and Marty (one of Heather's older son Brendan's friends). Calia took an instant liking to Marty (age 12). All night, all she said was "marty, marty, marty" Thankfully, he's a good kid and played along with her, even sat next to her at dinner and shared his onion rings with her.
